Problem: Chipped and peeling rubber coating; damage after only three weeks of use

ALROL Consultation: On-site assessment of roller in its machine context along with extensive interview with client to clarify exact use of roller. Also implemented meticulous examination of the roller itself.

ALROL Solution: Conclusion was that the journal was not prepared with the appropriate bonding agent, nor was there enough heat resistance incorporated into the rubber compound. ALROL stripped and re-covered the roller making appropriate adjustments based on these findings and the same roller has run damage-free for over six months.

Case Study 2:

Problem: Excessive and frequent wearing-out of rubber roller on conveyor system.

ALROL Consultation: On-site assessment of roller in its machine context as well as observation of total volume of use based on products generated by this conveyor system. Extensive interview with client on roller background and use.

ALROL Solution: The complete consultation indicated that the rubber coating did not include a compound for abrasion resistance, nor was the rubber set to the hardness appropriate for high volume use. ALROL stripped and re-covered the rollers with the correct coating and the roller life has been extended considerably despite the high volume use.

Case Study 3:

ALROL Consultation: On-site assessment of the roller in its machine context as well as meticulous examination of the roller itself. Also looked at the journal and hardware in relation to the rubber coating. Extensive interview with the client to determine use and history of the roller.

ALROL Solution: ALROL was able to provide a customized material for the shaft better suited to its rubber coating and its use. The appropriate heat-resistant coating was applied and the roller life has been extended while still staying within USADA 3A Grade Approval.
